Ceremony Details

Where is it?Holy Transfiguration Romanian Orthodox Church (2 Winter St, Manchester, CT 06040) When is it?The ceremony will start at 2 pm and be approximately one hour. What am I wearing? Please adhere to the formal dress code for the entire day. More details can be found on the 'Attire' page. Is there parking? This is a small church with a limited parking lot. There is ample street parking nearby. Please arrive early enough to allow yourself to find parking. Can I record or take pictures? Please no phones/videos/pictures during the ceremony. We will have a videographer recording the whole thing and will gladly share it. Additionally we'd love to take pictures after the ceremony is over. What happens after? Ceremony 

Reception Details 

Where is it?The North House (1 Nod Rd, Avon, CT 06001). We will be in the separate building called the 'Belle Ballroom.' When is it?The reception will start at 5 pm with a cocktail hour followed by a formal dinner. The entire thing should last for approximately six hours. What am I wearing? Please adhere to the formal dress code for the entire day. Details can be found on the 'Attire' page. Is there parking? Yes! The venue has a large parking lot specifically for the events in the separate ballroom it will be held in. Will I have time to make it if I'm coming from the ceremony? Absolutely! It is approximately a 30 minute drive from the church to the reception venue. We made sure to bake enough time into the schedule incase some incredibly "talented" individual crashes and backs up I-84. What am I eating and drinking? The first hour of the ceremony will be a cocktail hour with appetizers. You have your option of a beef, chicken, fish, or vegetarian dish that you select on the RSVP for the formal dinner. There will also be an open bar and wine service. What happens after? Thank you for (hopefully) coming! There is a hotel directly across the street called Avon Old Farms Hotel. Reception 

For both the ceremony and reception we are requesting that everyone dresses in formal attire. MenFor men this means a suit or collared shirt, a blazer or jacket, and dress shoes. Ties are not required, but would be nice. Please no sneakers, boots, or jeans. Women For women this means a floor length dress or pant suit. Please avoid anything champagne or dark green colored. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes or bring a comfortable pair for dancing!

Attire 

Is there a dress code? Yes. Please see the details on the 'Attire' page. Can I bring my girlfirend/boyfriend/sister/brother/child/parent/friend/person I met at a bar/etc?No. We are looking to have a day filled with family and friends that we've chosen to share the day with us. If their name was not on the RSVP unfortunately they are not invited. Will there be any children?No. The event is for adults only and we do not want to have any children potentially being disruptive. Can I take pictures/video?Please no devices or photography during the ceremony. We have a professional videographer recording the whole thing and we will gladly take pictures with you afterwards during the reception!

This hotel is right across the street from the venue and has a block of rooms reserved for our guests the night of 5/23!
